As you know, we work with the Against Malaria Foundation to receive our nets at the best possible price, which for the last 3 years has been £2.50. However over the last few months the exchange rates have changed a lot & we are now in a position that the costs of the nets have now to be increased to £3.00

Graduation Day!
*
Last Sunday the children at Ndeeba Primary held their Graduation Day. This is where the children from the Nursery Section graduate to go to 'big school'! It is the most fantastic day & the highlight of the childrens school year! A friend of mine, Simon who helped us 2 1/2 years ago with putting up nets at the original Kiro Kabowa School was also back in Uganda & was invited along with his girlfriend Lou to also come as guests of honour! The school year is about to end & the children are about to have their long school holiday before starting the new school year at the end of January 2011.

Always prioritising food, salaries, shelter & general education, we have never had the money to buy sports/play equipment for the children except a few balls & we had the netball posts made a couple of years ago!
My good friends Elaine & Lisa held their 2nd sponsored Spider Ride on the Isle of Wight in September amongst the horsey community. A spider ride is where people from all over ride to one meeting place which on something like an island can form routes to the meeting place similar to a spider web!
