I'm back in the UK!

*
So here I am now back in the UK to begin the final preparations for the Row for Life. I am always excited to be seeing my family again, but I am sad to be leaving Uganda (albeit only for a few weeks!) as my heart really is there & I miss everyone so much!

Meet Josef!

*
I would like to introduce to you Josef Graves a very courageous young man in the UK who is about to climb Mount Snowdon in Wales to raise money for the ACDT & in particular to buy mosquito nets! We are so grateful to him for doing this as we cannot continue with our Malaria Programme without the amazing support of people donating or buying mosquito nets!

Mums Blog Part 4 - The end of my visit,

*

My 19 days in Kampala, Uganda have now come to an end.  It has been a visit of very mixed emotions.  The main one being the loss of little Bonita from Tetanus, a five year old pupil from the Ndeeba Primary School we sponsor.   A beautiful little girl who was part of the school choir, she stood out in the front on her own because she was a little girl who loved to sing the main choir standing behind her.  She was in the front for my welcoming ceremony, singing away.  You could tell she just loved it.  A beautiful girl, with a beautiful smile.

Mums Blog Part 3 - My suprise long weekend!

About a week into my visit Nikki surprised me by saying we were going on a long week-end to the DRC (Congo).   Not only going to the Congo, but driving through Rwanda to get there!
We left here last Thursday afternoon and headed and stayed at a hotel about an hour from the Uganda/Rwanda border.  We left fairly early in the next morning to head for the border crossing.  I was quite surprised that it went fairly smoothly and about 30 mins later we were driving through Rwanda.
